General terms and conditions

 

The NZ Journal of Natural Medicine is quarterly magazine that is published for educational purposes only. The printed and PDF versions of the Journal and articles on the Journal’s website are for informational purposes only and are not to be construed as medical advice nor are they intended to be a substitute for advice from a qualified health professional.

Any article in the Journal (or article on our website) necessarily provides general information that may not be relevant or appropriate to any one individual’s personal health needs; we encourage readers to seek advice from a health professional if they have health concerns.

Purchase of any printed or PDF product from this website and/or access to free content available on this website is conditional on the purchaser/reader taking full responsibility for his/her use of the material.

While care is taken in preparation of the Journal and selection of articles on the website there may be errors and/or omissions. Neither the publisher, editors, other staff, contributors nor anyone else associated with the Journal accept any liability for any consequence relating to the use (or misuse) of any information provided in the Journal or its website.

Supply of ebook (PDF) versions of The NZ Journal of Natural Medicine

Supply of ebook (PDF) versions of The NZ Journal of Natural Medicine is on the basis that the PDF is purchased for personal use, not for distribution or re-sale.

Returns and Refunds

We offer subscriptions, single printed issues and ebook (PDF) issues through our online shop.

PDF issues are identified with a PDF logo on the bottom right hand corner of the cover image displayed in our online shop.

In the unlikely event of your printed magazine(s) being faulty in some respect (such as missing pages), please email us through the Contact Form with the details and we will replace the issue(s) at no charge. In the unlikely event that PDF download link does not work, please contact us through the Contact Form and we will organise for a replacement receipt and download link to be emailed to you at no charge.

Please order carefully as we are not obligated to refund your purchase should you simply change your mind

Cancellation policy

We have a limited cancellation policy that applies to subscriptions to The NZ Journal of Natural Medicine.

Should you wish to cancel a subscription purchased through our online shop, we will refund the unfulfilled portion of your subscription via the PayPal refund system – provided that you cancel the subscription within six months of making your purchase.

If you can supply a NZ bank account number to which you would like the unfulfilled portion of your subscription credited, we can also use this option to process your refund.

We regret that due to high fees involved in transferring funds to non-NZ bank accounts we cannot offer a cancellation option to overseas purchasers who wish to cancel a subscription purchased through our online shop more than six months after making the purchase.

Cancellation of the unfulfilled portion of a subscription purchased via any means other than through our online shop is available only to customers who can supply a NZ bank account number or PayPal account address.

Prices

Prices on our website shop are in NZD.  Postage charges are added to orders to be delivered to a non-NZ address.  The current price(s) for a printed magazine, ebook (PDF) or subscription (and any applicable postage charges) are detailed on the checkout page of our online shop so you can see these before finalising your purchase.

Purchasing options

  1. Our online shop
    Our online shop uses PayPal’s secure online portal to process your credit card or PayPal payment. Our online shop offers the convenience of paying using your Visa, MasterCard, or PayPal account. All payments are in NZD.
  2. Non-online purchasing options
    For customers who do not have a Visa, Mastercard or PayPal account, other purchasing options may be found at our Subscriptions page)

When you make a successful purchase from our online website, you will receive an email receipt PayPal and an email receipt from our shop.

The receipt from our online shop includes a link to our Subscriber FAQ page which has answers to common questions, including when you can expect to receive the issue(s) that you have ordered.

Fulfilment of orders

Printed copies of The NZ Journal of Natural Medicine

Printed copies of current or back issues of the Journal are usually posted within 1-3 working days of the order being received.

Printed copies are sent by NZ Post in New Zealand and Australian orders are mailed from a mailing house in Victoria.

In NZ, customers who order back issues or the current issue typically receive their copies within 1-2 weeks of placing their order; it can take longer for delivery to rural addresses than for delivery to major towns and cities. In Australia, it can take more than two weeks for current or back issues to reach some destinations (especially rural areas) after they have been lodged with Australian post; we appreciate your patience.

(If your order does not arrive within the expected time frame, please email through the Contact Form and we can arrange for a replacement copy to be sent, if necessary.)

Fulfilment of PDF copies

When a PDF version of the Journal is ordered through this website, the download link will be included in the email receipt generated by our online shop.  (We recommend using a wired connection to download this file when possible; however it is also usually possible to download the file using a wireless internet connection. In the unlikely event that PDF download link does not work, please contact us through the Contact Form and we will organise for a replacement receipt and download link to be emailed to you at no charge.)

Future changes to Terms and Conditions

The NZ Journal of Natural Medicine reserves the right to make changes to its Terms and Conditions should this become necessary.  However, any changes to our Terms and Conditions will not be retroactive; we will honour the agreement in place at the time that our customers place their order (and any superseded Terms and Conditions will be available on this website with the dates on which they were applicable for customer reference.)

The NZ Journal of Natural Medicine is published by Full Court Press, Ltd. Full Court Press Ltd is a company that is registered in and operated from New Zealand.

Our address for written correspondence is PO Box 44128, Point Chevalier, Auckland 1246.

Should you need to contact us regarding an online purchase or other subscription related enquiry, the best way to do so is to send us an email via our Contact Form. (We generally respond to emails within 1-2 business days.)

It is also possible to phone us on + 64 9 5211 904. (Please leave your name and phone number if you reach an answerphone so that we can return your call.)

Postage charges

Postage is FREE in New Zealand.

Please note that if you are in New Zealand, there is no charge for postage for your order from www.naturalmedicine.net.nz; you will pay only the price of the magazine(s) that you order.

Overseas postage charges

If you (or someone for whom you are purchasing a magazine or subscription) live overseas, we have to add postage to your order.

For orders with an Australian delivery address, $2 NZD is added for each magazine ordered to help cover postage costs. (This means that when an Australian subscription is ordered via our online shop the total price is $48 NZD.)  If you order multiple copies for delivery to Australia, $2 NZD will be added for each magazine that you order.

For orders to other overseas locations, $14 NZD postage per issue is added to help cover postage costs. (This means that when a non-Australian, non-New Zealand subscription is ordered via our online shop the total price is $96 NZD.) If you order multiple copies for delivery to a non-New Zealand, non-Australian address, $14 NZDwill be added for each magazine that you order.

Delivery information

We aim to give good customer service and printed copies of current or back issues of the Journal are usually posted within 1-3 working days of the order being received.

Other international orders are sent via NZ Post via international airmail.  Unfortunately, despite the high cost of this service, it can still be very slow so please allow 6-7 weeks for delivery if you order for a non-NZ/Australia delivery destination.

Security information

Security when making a purchase through our online shop

Purchases made via our online shop are processed through PayPal’s secure service. (With this system, authorised staff of The NZ Journal of Natural Medicine are able to see the amount of the payment that you made but do not have access to your credit card details.)

You will see the words “NatMed” on your credit card statement next to your payment to The NZ Journal of Natural Medicine when you use a credit card to make a purchase via our online shop.

Security when making a credit card purchase via phone or mail

Payments to The NZ Journal of Natural Medicine may also be made over the phone or via our printed subscription forms. You will be able to identify the payment that you have made for a subscription or other magazine purchase because the name of the company that publishes the Journal (Full Court Press) will be included on your credit card statement.

Subscription forms are available in the printed Journal or may be downloaded via our Subscriptions page.

Policy regarding credit card data supplied via phone or mail

Credit card payments made via phone or mail are processed via the secure online Paypal credit card processing system. For direct payments, you will be able to identify the payment that you have made for a subscription or other magazine purchase because the name of the company that publishes the Journal (Full Court Press) will be included on your credit card statement.

In the case of phone orders where customers give us their credit card details, our policy is to destroy customers’ credit card details once the payment has been processed.

Printed subscription forms received through the post are retained so that the customer name, address etc. can be databased.  (Credit card details are NOT entered into the Journal’s database.)  Printed subscription forms may be retained or destroyed after having been databased.

The NZ Journal of Natural Medicine has a general policy of not storing credit card details in any of its computers.  (The exception to this policy is when customers email their credit card details to us; this is something that we do not recommend.)
